Hi all A few pic’s of my new track for now I call it Very British, as the town I got a bit done to just looks that with all the terriced houses ‘n’ red birck. I have been working on it for a few months now. I have now got the main track to work and have got 2 types off goods train dodging in and out of the main track. Had me scratching my head for a while.

😆 I Hope the Taxes are not too high😆 April 8, 2007 at 10:43 am #1909AnonymousInactiveHio david, Why not RTR for english towns and landscapes,RTR becomes international.
It´s not for US only.
😉 Dave, this looks great. It´s the layout you sent me right?
April 8, 2007 at 4:30 pm #1910AnonymousInactiveHi Peter Yes it is the track I sent but has had a lot of changes to get it running. If you would like to see it as it is now I can send it.

😉 June 24, 2007 at 5:13 pm #1914AnonymousInactiveHi all I just put a link on my web page to dload this track I have taken all the buildings off so it should work on other systems. I did send it to Little Hobo and when he run it he found there was 2 insidents. 1 a goods train not connecting to goods wagons and a pasenger train crashing into the back of a goods train. I have wondered why this happend as it dose not on mine. I have just remembered that I have edited something on the black steam train to make it pull better as it was not very fast when pulling 10 wagons, so you will get the same problems. This is what I did to make is stronger. The file is called add trains3.xli and is in the main RTR folder. If you do change it remember to backup and if you use the black steam train on any of your layouts with the altered pulling power it could make them run funny. I have to thank Peter for the help on editing the train.

June 24, 2007 at 5:41 pm #1915AnonymousInactiveHi Dave, I´d laod your track on rtr. That info was taken without editing the xli,and it crashed. I´d give the steam more time on signals to avoid that.
Do you remember, the 41 in that entry is the pulling power of the loco. If it´s 0 then this loco pulls 20 cars. else the value on that you enter.
😉 June 24, 2007 at 9:59 pm #1916AnonymousInactiveHi all If you don’t want to mess about editting the black steam train. I think if you delete 5 goods wagons off the end of each one (there are 2) it should work ok but not tryed it.

June 24, 2007 at 11:14 pm #1917AnonymousInactiveHi Dave I gave it thought came up with the goods train will be to short the engine won’t pick up the goods cars and move them to the siding two ways to fix that change the timing on the switch’s that lets the engine go back to pick them up . or move the decoupler closer to the turn table moving the decoupler closer is probably the better of the two for timing you won’t lose as much time on the goods train it might work. this is base on if you take the five cars off ???

June 25, 2007 at 8:03 am #1918AnonymousInactiveHi all Little Hobo I will get it sorteds and then put it back on my site so people can look at it. I have a old comp I could put a unalterd RTR on.

June 25, 2007 at 5:53 pm #1919AnonymousInactiveHi all I have hammered ‘n’ spannered and got it to work. So it should now work on any none tweaked RTR. Give it a wizz.

June 26, 2007 at 3:20 am #1921AnonymousInactiveHi Dave, Great track design aside, I really like the terraforming you have done on this and on all of your layouts. You have a very natural and realistic looking style and I’ve learned a couple tricks from your work. Is this reflective of the geography in the UK? It’s great stuff.
