😉 December 4, 2006 at 7:24 pm #1080AnonymousInactiveHi Peter, I reach shake your hand….Oh I see They’re processing it for x-mas. That’s cool… I’ll see this model processing. And so you got good any model or skinning?? I’m pretty good reskinning and some not good. And I like good made any modeling…And so, I’m not sure how much these model must less polygon count too high or lower polgyon count with rtr??
Cheer,
Shapiro

😉 December 6, 2006 at 11:07 am #1082AnonymousInactiveHi Shapiro, Light signals and a more realistic crossing gate are often wished. It’s not much of a problem to build them, I would like to create models follwing US and European prototype. The problem is, they must work with the program. I will check that with BrainBombers.
Kind regards,
Willi

The bridges come in three parts: the bridge itself, an abutment and a pilar, so you can build it just as you like. Of course the bridges can also be coloured.

December 12, 2006 at 5:52 am #1087AnonymousInactiveHi all, A modest start into the world of static modeling – a ‘railroad crossing’ sign. Now I need to texture it.

December 12, 2006 at 11:14 am #1088AnonymousInactiveHi Chris, Great, that you have started modeling! I’m looking forward to your finished first model.
Best regards,
Willi
December 12, 2006 at 11:50 am #1089AnonymousInactiveHi Chris, You jumped in the “cold” water and try to model. Looks kool
to begin with the origin US – Crossing sign. First good work ❗ December 13, 2006 at 4:05 am #1090AnonymousInactiveI decided to be more ambitious with the crossing sign. December 13, 2006 at 10:00 am #1091AnonymousInactiveHi Chris, It looks great, your detailled crossing sign. Please, just don’t forget to keep the polygon count as low as possible. Not that a small model like that will have many hundreds of polygons at the end. So you may reduce the pole to maybe 6- or 8-sided, and always delete all polygons that never will be visible.
Now a flashing light function in RTR would be great.
😆 Of course it could be done with the animation that is already integrated in RTR (model name “anm_*.x”). But what is missing, is a function to switch these anmations on/off.Keep on with your great work and best regards,
Willi
