Hi Peter, I’m not sure I fully understood what you meant in your last posting. I had wanted to go back and reskin these earlier attempts in order to add the structural features of the ‘prototypes’ I had originally used.
I painted myself into a bit of a corner on some of these earlier textures because I had used 40-foot cars as the model. So I’ve taken some license with assigning a structural type to them.
Thanks again!
Chris

October 18, 2006 at 2:28 am #899AnonymousInactiveHi Chris, Wow, again you’re working very hard. Really nice skins, thank you very much.
Of course it’s always a good advise to make backups. But honestly, who wants to revert back?
😆 Your old textures were good, but the new ones are just great. Thanks again,
Willi
October 18, 2006 at 3:31 am #900AnonymousInactiveHi Willi, Thanks! I’ve wanted to rework those early efforts with the techniques I’ve been using lately. I wasn’t very happy with their appearance when running them on the same layout with the rolling stock that was released in the latest extension pack.
You’ve probably noticed that my dds files are considerably larger than those that ship with the game. I feel I’m getting a better texture display with these larger files but they may tax older vid cards too heavily. That’s why I suggest the old files be backed up.
Kind regards, Chris
