I’ve created this thread as a venue to introduce revisions to textures of mine that have been included in earlier extension packs. I hope you find each to be an improvement to the original. October 3, 2006 at 3:04 pm #874AnonymousInactiveI’ve revised this boxcar to reflect the construction of the prototype – a FMC offset double door boxcar. I’ve also attempted to make some cosmetic improvements. The original:

As usual, I would suggest you backup the original file in case you’d like to revert to it.
October 3, 2006 at 5:27 pm #875AnonymousInactiveHi chris, Thanks, and i will use it to see improvements
October 3, 2006 at 9:30 pm #876AnonymousInactiveHi Chris, Your reworked texture looks just great! It looks like RTR is getting more and more a real serious model railroad simulator with accurate models of the prototype.
Btw, I would be interested what’s the meaning of “FMC”?
Kind regards,
Willi
October 4, 2006 at 2:39 am #877AnonymousInactiveWilli and Peter, Thank you gentlemen.
Willi, I think that RtR needs to have a fleet of sufficient variety modeled on actual prototypes to succeed commercially. I also agree with Peter’s statement that there needs to be ‘standing stock’ to support interactivity with our freight and passenger trains.
Quite frankly, their commercial success should be equally important to those of us that want to see the program continue to evolve.
FMC was a builder of rail cars. You can visit this site to see a listing –>
