Program version 1.4 is available

Program version 1.4 is available now.

It is – of course – free for registered users.

It can be installed on any earlier version.

You don’t have to install other version upgrades before this one, but of course it will work fine with already installed upgrade 1.3 also.

The most important new features in this version:

1. Pause button implemented.

2. Support for turntable implemented.

3. Auto scroll can be disabled in the main menu.

4. Auto bridge and tunnel can be disabled.

5. Changed behaviour when leaving train follow camera mode.

6. Possibility of semi-transparent windows implemented with terrain objects.

7. Command line parameters added.

8. Better auto-object-hide function in near view.

After installing this upgrade you have to re-install localized language versions, if you use them.

Install this new version in the game directory and enjoy!

Many thanks for the fantastic RTR 1.4! It fullfills many long-time wishes and more. So I don’t see it as natural that you give this extensive upgrade for free and want to thank you even more.

The new stuff is very nice. I’ve experimented a little with Willi’s (now Brainbombers’) Turntable. This is really neat. Now I’ll spend even more time (that I don’t have to spare) working on complicated layouts! Good work and thanks to all the volunteers who contributed to 1.4 and XP11.

Questions:

Where is the pause button? Maybe I’m blind but I couldn’t find it.

Is there a difference between the _L and _R for abutments (for example) other than that they are spun 180 degrees?

And, what are the turnout_L and turnout_R for? They are invisible unless the cursor is over them. They are even invisible when selected. I changed the default “ground” and they still don’t show up.

Thanks again for the new stuff — and just in time for Christmas.

There’s no abutment_L or abutment_R! What program do you use?

What’s about pressing the P key for pause?

And what’s about reading the manual before asking such a trash?

What else could we do to avoid such stupid questions? I think, before further developing RTR and LV we should think about what we can do against illiteracy! I’m so tired from informing and informing for nothing (in German and in English!!!!!) and writing the same again and again!!!!

I will stop any work for RTR until such an unbelievable ignorance is stopped!

I hope you understand that I did in fact welcome you to the forum back in august when you posted your layout Langenthal.

I have joined your forum and have been nothing but supportive of you and your efforts in increasing the functionality of the program.

I am sorry that you think that me asking about the location of the download link for version 2 of the viewer is trash. I missed it…. sorry the eyes do not work like they use to.

I welcome every new member to the forum and am nothing but supportive of them and thier efforts in using the program.

I am one of the more active members on this forum. Sorry that you do not like me but that fact is not going to stop my efforts to aid anyone in building layouts with RTR.

oh and By the Way Merry Christmas and Happy Railroading
