A Nickel Plate Road reefer September 4, 2006 at 9:37 am #571AnonymousInactiveA Nickel Plate Road box car. September 4, 2006 at 10:02 am #572AnonymousInactiveI’ve found what I need to do the PFE reefer. I didn’t have any luck with the SP except as Hydro-Cushion. September 4, 2006 at 10:46 am #573AnonymousInactiveHi Chris As I’m a European and I asked for North American rolling stock without bumper’s, I think that’s no problem
😉 Don’t worry, as far as I know there are many friends and fans of American railroads here in Europe and in Switzerland especially. But of course, like I had written in the “New American objects” thread and in the especially opened thread “European / Swiss rolling stock” under Wish List, I asked BrainBomers not to forget the European user. Maybe you know the famous Swiss Crocodile? That would really be a great loco in RTR.
But here is not the place to talk about that. Coming back to North American rolling stock:
I agree with the urgent need of Streamliner Diesels A and B units. And of course I support your other general wishes as well!
Regards,
Willi

September 4, 2006 at 8:22 pm #577AnonymousInactiveYou’re welcome, Shapiro. Need I remind you that I can only texture the models that currently exist? Requests for new rolling stock should be recorded elsewhere to be sure they’re seen by Brainbom – wish lists or perhaps the e-mail address specifically for requests.
I understand most of the Nickel Plate Road motive power was in a plain black scheme. Is that correct? I discovered the historical society website yesterday, that’s why you finally got your NKP stock. I’ll see if they have examples of switchers.
EditNote: I found a b/w photo of NKP 1, Alco S-2 Switcher, Built 1942. I can use that as a model. The S-4’s are complicated to skin because of access panel detailing so it’ll take a little while to do. As I remember, Southern Pacific switchers were a basic black as well so I’ll knock one of those out at the same time. Hopefully they’ll be done by the end of the week.
End of Edit.
I’ll look into Monon as well.

September 4, 2006 at 9:07 pm #579AnonymousInactiveChris, I’m glad hear you. And Would you like I can send you email for nickel plate road and monon??

September 4, 2006 at 9:12 pm #580AnonymousInactiveHi Shapiro, I don’t think that’s necessary at this point. I had already found a MONON box car example and have it tucked away. As I noted above, I found a b/w photo of NKP 1. Just confirm it’s a basic black paint job.
Regards, Chris
