Hi chris, The changes from single- to dualcore isn´t over,Intel try to develop a quad-core in the end of this year and want sell it on market in january (or feb) next year ready to earn money for development. And AMD allready bought ATI.
For us computer users, the cpu´s will be cheaper but the gpu´s and rams not. Many users have powerfull single-cpu´s but have to upgrade their graca´s : ❗ : I also hope that all candidates will be includet in the next expp.😉 September 3, 2006 at 12:49 am #556AnonymousInactiveA Santa Fe reefer. September 3, 2006 at 12:37 pm #559AnonymousInactiveAnother Santa Fe ‘billboard’ box car for consideration. September 3, 2006 at 3:01 pm #560AnonymousInactiveWilli, I think this is the one you were hoping for. for the brainbombers.BIG WinkSeptember 3, 2006 at 5:21 pm #562AnonymousInactiveThanks Peter. I feel like I should do something for my buddies on that side of the pond but I’m kinda clueless in that regard.

September 3, 2006 at 8:34 pm #563AnonymousInactiveHi Chris Just fantastic, you’re really great
❗ Yes, these are the wooden reefers and billboard boxcars I meant and you have done a great work! Thank you very much for fulfilling my wishes. It doesn’t matter that it’s not possible to create different sides on rolling stock. I had read somewhere before that RtR uses the same texture for both sides. Maybe Brainbomber will change that in near future.
And let’s hope that all your liveries will be included in the next expansion pack. And of course that it will be available soon.
But of course I know what this means for me
😉 😉 Now I will have to build a nice Santa Fe layout to operate all this fine ATSF rolling stock! And I will do that, but can’t promise when it will exactly be. Thanks again and kind regards,
Willi
September 4, 2006 at 1:34 am #564AnonymousInactiveHi Willi, I’ll enjoy them as well; be sure of that. I hope you’ll share that layout.
Best regards, Chris
September 4, 2006 at 1:36 am #565AnonymousInactiveRF&P 2870 submitted for consideration. September 4, 2006 at 3:04 am #566AnonymousInactiveAnother SFRD Reefer for consideration September 4, 2006 at 6:50 am #567AnonymousInactiveHi Chris, Of course I will share the layout. But it will take quite some time until then as you may have seen on my website that I’m not only working with RtR but with other simulations, too.
Btw, have you already asked Brainbombers, if they could release rolling stock without buffers, which is common in Europe, but doesn’t exist on American rolling stock as you know.
This would be almost no work for Brainbombers to remove these 4 parts of the models and release them as a new variaton of existing cars representing American rolling stock.
Kind regards,
Willi
P.S. Great the Scout billboard reefer!
September 4, 2006 at 7:42 am #568AnonymousInactiveHi Willi, I think you just did
😉 Seriously, I sometimes worry that all these examples of North American rolling stock might be misunderstood as an attempt to hijack the game from its originial European audience. Asking for such a modification could sound even more threatening so I’m content to have the opportunity to submit liveries and just not worry about the bumpers at all.
I understand that the developers are busy addressing other issues – note their request for images and links in the new thread. I’d be content if they’d add two more examples of rolling stock: a flat car optionally with bulkheads and a (covered) hopper.
I think we’d all enjoy seeing additional types of track, switches, that round table, the ability to simulate loading and unloading cars, and having streamliner diesels (F3s for example, both A and B units). Other types of industries would expand our possibilities as well. I also endorse the ability to construct one’s own structures. I’d also like to see the ability to customize signage by allowing the face of it to be easily editable.
Right now those Santa Fe streamliner cars are screaming for A and B unit motive power. I started skinning PRR streamliner wagons and plan to do the same for New York Central, New Havem, Rock Island, and Southern Pacific but I won’t offer them until we have appropriate motive power.
Sorry for rambling. Let me know if there are any other textures you’d like me to attempt.
Best regards, Chris
September 4, 2006 at 9:27 am #569AnonymousInactivesouthern pacific ‘damage free’ in 50′ box. pre-1980s P.F.E. refers (pumpkin orange with both sp and up heralds) in the all steel, and pre-1960s, the wood sided ice cooled ones. as for tank cars, how about the plain black utlx and gatx that were ubiquitous out here in the western u.s. from before i was born and the last time i looked were still quite common. as i may have mentioned, my own sierra midland skins for several cars and engines are on my picture trail gallery along with a couple of example pix as also on esnips shots of my rtr trains.
i know i need to find the specific links and come back and post them.
(i don’t know if either place encourages/allows deep linking so i’ll just post the url’s to the particular immages instead, if i haven’t already in another thread)
